Three Days of Ideas, Insight and Industry Action

Held alongside Propak West Africa from 8–10 September 2026 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, the Propak West Africa Summit brought together manufacturing leaders, technical experts, policymakers and industry professionals from across the region.

Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, practical sessions and case studies, the Summit explored the technologies, challenges and opportunities influencing the future of packaging, processing and manufacturing across West Africa.

The event welcomed respected voices from manufacturing, government, business, sustainability, technology and industry associations. Speakers shared practical experience, challenged conventional thinking and contributed valuable perspectives on the future of manufacturing across West Africa.

Day 1 Overview: Innovation, Technology & Sustainable Packaging Solutions

Day 1 opened with industry leaders, government representatives and manufacturing experts exploring the forces shaping food processing, packaging and production across West Africa.

The programme examined AI and automation, sustainable packaging, food safety and packaging innovation. Sessions focused on how manufacturers could improve operational efficiency, adopt smarter technologies and respond to evolving industry standards. The day concluded with Women in Print & Packaging, celebrating the women helping to shape the future of the industry.

Day 2 Overview: Executive Breakfast Session – Circularity, Energy & Industrial Growth

Hosted by KPMG, Day 2 brought senior executives, manufacturers, investors, policymakers and sustainability leaders together for an Executive Breakfast Session focused on industrial growth.

Under the theme “Unlocking Industrial Value through Circularity and Resource Optimisation,” the discussion examined how manufacturers could turn sustainability ambitions into measurable business value. Speakers explored reliable energy, circular production, financing, operational innovation and the practical steps needed to build stronger and more resilient manufacturing businesses.

Day 3 Overview: Finance, Food Safety & Circular Packaging Action

Day 3 delivered a solutions-focused programme centred on financing industrial growth, strengthening food systems and accelerating circular packaging action in Nigeria.

The programme explored access to finance for manufacturers and SMEs, food safety and processing standards, packaging innovation, recycling data and Extended Producer Responsibility. Sessions led by the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology, the Recyclers Association of Nigeria and the Africa Trade Academy gave attendees practical insight into standards, traceability, export readiness and the policies and partnerships needed to support sustainable growth.
