Yinka Bakare is a seasoned marketing leader with over 26 years of successful experience in strategic marketing, brand building, transformation and development, a visionary leader known for his exceptional ability to drive growth and spearheading innovative marketing strategies. He possesses a deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior, combined with a creative approach to deliver winning Business strategies.
He joined Guinness Nigeria Plc in 2018 as Head of Lagers and APNADs, bringing experience from Heineken, Nigerian Breweries, British American Tobacco, and Cadbury Nigeria Plc across 3 continents and 5 countries. In his first year, he optimized the lager category's impact on the P&L through value chain engineering and an RGM program.
In May 2019, he became Head of Beer, launching Guinness Gold and Guinness Smooth helping Guinness regain its position as Nigeria's strongest brand. In August 2021, as Head of Innovations and APNADs, he has driven Guinness Nigeria's Innovation Strategy, achieving top-line innovation profitability with successful product launches for three consecutive years.
He is currently the Marketing & Innovation Director for Guinness Nigeria with responsibility for orchestrating the Portfolio and consumer acquisition strategy to grow Profitability & Market share for Guinness Nigeria Plc.
